Civics examines the structure and function of the federal, state, and local government in the United States. Students will understand the conceptual foundations of civic and political life. Students will identify origins and foundations of American government. Students will organize the structure and function of American government. Students will become familiar with the United States and its government's relationship to world affairs. Students will assess citizenship in America with a greater emphasis on the role of citizenship activism in America.
